2016-2017 Roswell Family Series

The Roswell Cultural Arts Center has announced the lineup of artists for its 2016-2017 Roswell Family Series.

The upcoming season features three innovative, educational shows aimed at introducing the youngest audiences to the theatre.

2016-2017 Roswell Family Series Individual Tickets are $12 (for ages 2 and up) and Season Tickets are all 3 Shows for $30.

2016-2017 Roswell Family Series presents Big Bang Boom!
August 26, 2016, 10 AM & 4 PM
Shake off the back-to-school blues with Big Bang Boom’s high impact, high energy performance that gets kids (and their parental units) up and moving. This rockin’ 3-piece power pop band consists of three talented dads – Chuck Folds (younger brother of Ben Folds), Steve Willard, and Eddie Walker – who will play their original music that mixes alt-rock, hip-hop, punk, and country, along with an array of Big Bang Boom-ified classic tunes, including their famous grand finale, the “Great Hokey Pokey Showdown.”

2016-2017 Roswell Family Series presents The Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia in Goodnight Moon & The Runaway Bunny

The Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia is a renowned, internationally touring company that combines innovative puppetry, striking scenic effects, and evocative original music to provide young audiences with an effortless introduction to the performing arts and the excitement of reading. Featuring two of the most beloved children’s books of all time by Margaret Wise Brown, Mermaid Theatre’s staged adaptation of Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny will bring these delightful stories to life.

2016-2017 Roswell Family Series presents Lightwire Theatre in The Ugly Duckling & The Tortoise and The Hare
Saturday, May 6, 2017, 10 AM & 1 PM
Internationally recognized Lightwire Theater presents a very unique interpretation of two classic fairy tales through poignant choreography, glow-in-the dark puppets and dazzling visual effects. Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling is a wonderful story celebrating differences and transformation, while Aesop’s fable The Tortoise and the Hare reminds audiences of the old adage “slow and steady wins the race.”
