2016 North Metro Atlanta Farmers Markets

We’re back to continue our series on Atlanta farmers markets in 2016, having already covered 2016 Intown Atlanta Farmers Markets and 2016 Northwest Metro Atlanta Farmers Markets. Everyone seems to enjoy going to local farmers markets as it has certainly become one of the hotter trends in the past few years. Certainly, some farmers markets have a long history and some are newer additions to meet the growing demand of Atlanta consumers. Here are some great options for 2016 North Metro Atlanta Farmers Markets.

Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market – where friends and neighbors gather to share the experience of a community farmers market. Every Saturday morning, 45+ vendors, musicians, and local residents gather for a “first name” shopping experience. Grab your friends, family and pets and join in on Saturday morning for a truly enjoyable community gathering. Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market – features a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as producer-only baked goods and artisan foods. Originally conceived in 2007 by UGA Cooperative Extension Agent in a joint venture between Roswell Recreation and Parks and Fulton County. The farmers market in Roswell is open Saturdays from 8am til Noon. April 16 through October 29, 2016. Click here for more information.

Downtown Alpharetta Farmers Market – you will find farmers with fruits and vegetables, gardeners with fresh flowers and plants, and makers of all sorts of edible home goods from yummy desserts to local raw honey and homemade sauces and jellies. The farmers market in Alpharetta is open Saturdays, mid-April through mid-October from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Click here for more information.

Johns Creek Farmers Market – Be a part of the local food movement and shop at the Johns Creek Farmers Market. The market is held during the summer at Newtown Park Amphitheater. The 2016 Farmers Market is expected to have 30 or more vendors selling locally grown produce or locally made foods. The farmers market in Johns Creek is open on Saturday mornings (May 7 – Sept. 7) from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Click here for more information.
