30th annual art in the park

Art in the Park will be celebrating its 30th year Anniversary as Marietta Square’s premier event celebrating the arts by featuring both local and national artist displaying their fine arts on Labor Day weekend. Art in the Park will be held on September 3-5, 2016 from 10am-5pm in the heart of Marietta.

Widely acclaimed as one of the best fine art shows in Atlanta, and the only in Cobb County, this FREE Labor Day tradition in and around Glover Park appeals to patrons and budgets of all ages.

In addition to the incredible 175 Fine Artists at Marietta Art in the Park, the festival also features:

  • Chalk Spot – a street chalk art display for aspiring artists from grades K-12.
  • Children’s Art Alley- a free interactive ‘make and take’ area.
  • Tiny Tot Town – an area specifically designed for toddlers with small toys, bounce house and crawling tube.
  • Atlanta Street Music Café- take a break, enjoy lunch from local restaurants, food trucks or enjoy a beverage listening to local musicians.
  • The award winning ‘Painted Pots’
  • Historic Marietta Square- unique shops, boutiques, museums, galleries and more!

Art displayed will include paintings, photography, pottery, graphic arts, sculptures, jewelry, and woodworking from 175 of the country’s finest artists. Festival guests will also have the opportunity to visit the unique shops and boutiques; restaurants, museums and galleries, take in a historic walking tour plus much more, all within walking distance of the festival.

It is an Southeast Tourism Society Top 20 event since 2007, ranked in the Top 100 Classic and Contemporary Craft Shows by Sunshine Artist Magazine, is a Kaleidoscope Award winner from the Southeast Festivals and Events Association and a Pinnacle Award winner from the International Festivals and Events Association.

The festival is free with plenty of free parking on the street and in the Cobb County Park Decks located on Waddell St. at Lawrence St.
