Norcross

The City of Norcross is Gwinnett County’s second oldest city and was the first to be placed on the Register of Historic Places. It was founded by J. J. Thrasher and named for his good friend Jonathan Norcross, a former Mayor of Atlanta. Norcross was incorporated on October 26, 1870.

The Eastern Continental Divide runs through the heart of the original community, passing alongside Thrasher Park and down the middle of North Peachtree Street. It’s now lined with restored Victorian homes, stroller-friendly sidewalks and lovely oaks.

The Mayor and City Council have sought to preserve the city’s charm. The City maintains a quiet, picturesque downtown district. Readily accessible from major highways, yet tucked quietly away, Norcross, Georgia is a charming antidote to modern suburbia. With a rich variety of well-preserved historic Norcross homes and an authentic turn-of-the-century downtown district, Norcross turns back the clock to simpler times and small-town American life.  The community offers an array of wonderful Norcross homes.

Norcross homes vary from traditional starter homes to executive-level homes.
