Atlanta has become synonymous with the gourmet street food movement that’s spreading around the world. Much like movies under the stars, food truck events have become all the rage. Much like movies under the stars, Atlanta food trucks really pick up from May to October. If you’re looking for a break from cooking dinner for the kids during the week or a fun weekend dining option, you will find an event with Atlanta food trucks on any night in 2016. You will find lots of Atlanta food truck events to choose from, so you won’t have to go far to find something great to eat or to enjoy some music and a fun time with your friends and neighbors. Not only do they offer a wide variety of savory and sweet bites to tempt you, but offer you the chance to try new culinary creations that you don’t see in your local restaurant. So without further adieu, here’s what you need to know about Atlanta Food Trucks in 2016.

Celebrate NO COOK MONDAY at Dinner at the Depot in downtown Kennesaw on Monday nights from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm from May to October 31st! Dinner at the Depot features cuisine from four to seven food trucks with the hardest part being making a decision! The trucks vary each week, and there will be live entertainment on most days. Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays are runs from 5pm to 9pm on Tuesday in Taylor-Brawner Park in Smyrna through September 27th. Enjoy the offerings from a weekly gathering of quality mobile gourmet trucks and a bit of sweet mixed in and music, too. Click here for the latest updates.

Lilburn Food Truck Tuesdays are held on the second Tuesdays from May to October from 6-9pm in City Park in Lilburn. Enjoy dinner and music in the park! Brookhaven Food Truck Nights returns for a third year at Blackburn Park, every Wednesday night from 5 to 9 p.m., May 6th to September 30th, 2016. Enjoy free on-site parking, 12-15 food trucks, local vendors and alcohol available for purchase. East Point Food Truck Court is now held every Wednesday from 4-7pm, all year long. Come out and get your groceries at the East Point Farmer’s Market and then walk next door and grab lunch at the East Point Food Truck Court presented by the City of East Point. The food trucks will be lined up at East Point Fire Station #1, 2757 East Point Street! A variety of delicious food choices will be available from some of the most popular food trucks in the Atlanta Metro area, so come hungry! Atlanta Food Truck Thursday at 12th and Peachtree in Midtown Atlanta. Take a lunch break and join the Atlanta Street Food Coalition food trucks every Thursday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Each week brings a different selection of street food nibbles from Atlanta’s favorite food trucks. Don’t miss the Doraville Food Truck Rally in Downtown Doraville held this year on every other Thursday evening! Enjoy some of the best food trucks in Metro Atlanta for delicious food with friends and family. Doraville Food Truck Rally offers a wide variety of delicious dishes representing everything from seafood to barbecue to ethnic specialties. Come out and enjoy good food, good company and live music!

Food Truck Alley is held every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Alpharetta through October 20, 2016. Weekly gathering will take place on Old Roswell Street with a variety of rotating food trucks, music, and fun children’s activities. In 2016, Dunwoody Food Truck Thursdays will be held every Thursday (from 5PM until dark) at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody from through October 27th. Join in every Thursday night for amazing food + music + community! Click here for the latest information.

Food Truck Fridays in Buckhead will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every week starting May 8th and will feature three to four food trucks each Friday. Food Truck Fridays will get people out of their offices and enjoying time with co-workers and friends as they sample food from some of the best trucks in Atlanta. Buckhead Food Truck Fridays will take place at 3314 Piedmont Road, just north of the corner of Piedmont and Peachtree in front of LA Fitness and adjacent to Disco Kroger. Food Truck Fridays in Duluth are held every Friday from May to October 6pm – 9pm at Duluth’s Town Green along side Fridays-N-Duluth. To add to the fun, Flicks on the Bricks presents a movie on the 1st & 3rd Friday of the month in Duluth. Click here for the latest info.

Roswell Food Truck Fridays are held on the last Friday of each month at Riverside Park from 5 to 9 p.m. in Roswell. Guests are invited to bring chairs, blankets and drinks. Families are also invited to take advantage of the park’s playgrounds and a spray ground when they’re open during the event.

Food Truck Fridays are also held in Suwanee on the first Fridays of April, May, June, August, and September, with each month will bringing great food and music from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm (music begins at 7:00). Two local bands per night, and over 40 unique trucks throughout the season. Food Truck Fridays in Woodstock are back! They will have them every Friday May 6-October 21 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the Recreation Center. Enjoy delicious food and treats while visiting with neighbors, listening to music and more. Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market is the first permanent food truck site in Atlanta offering food trucks to the community and visitors for lunch and dinner! There will also be a weekend farmers market, live music and artist farm! Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market is located at 1850 Howell Mill Road in south Buckhead. The property is the northeast quadrant of I-75 and Howell Mill Road. Atlanta Food Truck Park is open Friday 5pm – 9pm, Saturday: noon – 10pm and Sunday: noon – 8pm. Family, Fun, Flicks & Food Trucks is presented in Milton all summer long on the front lawn of Milton High School. Join in for dinner from a gourmet food truck and a movie under the stars on the first Saturdays of June, July, and August, beginning at 7 p.m. Movies will be shown at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.).
