Brookwood Hills

Located on the southern edge of Buckhead and just north of Midtown Atlanta, Brookwood Hills was established in 1922 as an Atlanta community. Of course, back then it was considered a suburb and now it’s definitely more of an intown neighborhood. Oh, how times have changed.

Brookwood Hills is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has built both a strong identity and sense of community over the past 90 years.   It has three entrances to Peachtree Road, and has no other outlet. Brookwood Hills is bordered roughly by Peachtree on the west, Interstate 85 on the south, the Norfolk Southern train tracks (just south of Peachtree Creek) to the north, and Clear Creek to the east. Piedmont Hospital is located across Peachtree Road from the neighborhood.

In the middle of Brookwood Hills lies the neighborhood-owned swimming pool, park and tennis facility situated on over 5 acres of land.  These facilities serve as a central gathering place for the neighborhood throughout the year.  Brookwood Hills also benefits from the 75 acre Clear Creek nature preserve located on the east side of the neighborhood.

Brookwood Hills is situated in the 30309 zip code. Atlanta Public Schools operates the public schools serving the neighborhood. The  schools include E. Rivers Elementary, Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School.
