The annual Butterfly Festival in late summer is a family favorite in Dunwoody. During the Dunwoody Butterfly Festival 2016 on Saturday, August 20, 2016, two enormous tents will be set up at the Dunwoody Nature Center and filled with gorgeous free-roaming butterflies for families to venture inside and explore, first receiving instructions to ensure the safety of the friendly insects.

Join them for a day of great activities including a Birds of Prey show, live animal encounters, games, educational booths, crafts, music, food and drinks. Early member preview begins at 9:00 a.m. with general admission starting at 10:00 a.m. This is a rain or shine event. No Pets Please

Day of Admissions:
• $10.00-Adults
• $  5.00-Child (ages 4-12)
• Free – Children 3 and younger

Plan enough time to park, take the shuttle, pay your admission, and proceed to the “Tickets Purchased Today” Tent Entry wristband area. Purchases that are made on the day of the festival include entry to the butterfly tents on a first come, first served basis until we reach capacity.

Shuttles will run continuously throughout the day.

Please note: there is no parking at the Nature Center; plan enough time to park, take the shuttle and get your hand stamp and your Tent Entry wristband at the “Pre-Purchased Online” Tent Entry wristband area. We recommend a 30 min. lead time prior to your tent entry. Come early! There is plenty to enjoy throughout the day, both before and after your butterfly encounter, and you won’t want to miss a minute of the fun.

Because Dunwoody’s annual Butterfly Festival is a popular event, it’s recommended you order your tickets online beforehand to avoid lines on the day of the event. Refreshing drinks, delicious lunches and frozen treats are available throughout the festival grounds during this easy-to-find event, and on-site parking is free.
