Salute to America and the Arts 2016

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and The GreenHouse Foundation are partnering to Present the Second Annual Salute to America and the Arts 2016 Celebrity Concert and Festival in the beautiful Callanwolde Amphitheater, located in Atlanta’s Druid Hills neighborhood, with trees lit by Illuminating Design and stage tented by Reece Tent Rental.

The Second Annual Salute to America and the Arts 2016 Celebrity Concert and Festival starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2016 with various Atlanta musical artists, family activities, tours of the historic Candler Estate, food trucks, cash/card beverage and beer/wine bar, and the Atlanta Hawks Organization, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Home Depot, and Captain Planet Organization and more on site.

Headlining this year, is celebrity entertainer and The GreenHouse Foundation founder CeeLo Green performing with the Celebrity All-Star Band. The concert will raise scholarship funds for U.S. Military Veterans and students in need. The Concert is hosted by Rick Baker of Callanwolde’s Rick Baker School of Music and Music Recording.

Be sure to purchase your tickets for the VIP After Party (in the Callanwolde Mansion) where you can meet CeeLo Green and his sister Shedonna Alexander (founders of the GreenHouse Foundation) along with all the artists performing in person and bid on items in our silent auction. The party will be fully catered by Zest Atlanta Catering and event decorating by Geri Sims Events with an open beer and wine bar (Coca-Cola products as well.) Award winning singer-songwriter Diane Durrett will be performing at the VIP After Party.

The GreenHouse Foundation was founded to educate, inspire and influence school-aged children in disadvantaged areas to become responsible stewards of their environment, communities, and future.

Second Annual Salute to America and the Arts 2016 Celebrity Concert and Festival Schedule:

  • 1:00 PM Doors Open
  • 1:00 – 6:00 PM Daytime Celebration: A day of family fun for both kids and adults. Live music in the Amphitheater and Mansion. Enjoy food trucks, bar, free tours of the Candler Estate and Mansion, silent auction, activities and entertainment in the Callanwolde Mansion, face painting, improv performances and more! Also Stephen “Blues Dude” Duncan performing in the Mansion.
  • 1:00 – 6:00 PM Atlanta Hawks Organization, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Home Depot, Captain Planet Organization and more on Site

VIP After Party in the Callanwolde Mansion

  • 9:30 PM – 11:30 PM VIP After Party in the Mansion with CeeLo Green and his sister Shedonna Alexander, Celebrity All-Star Band and Pre-Show Artists
  • Award winning singer songwriter Diane Durrett performing at the VIP Party (only VIP ticket holders may attend).
  • Complimentary hors d’oeuvres catered by Zest Atlanta Catering. Open beer and wine bar.
